Plural Nouns
Singular nouns are nouns that represent only one of the person, place, or thing.
Plural nouns are nouns that represent more than one person, place, or thing.
Plural nouns come in many forms. There are several rules to creating plural nouns.
Rules of how to form plural nouns:
1) Most nouns are made plural simply by adding -s to the end of the word.
Ex: The two dogs were chasing their tails in the park.

2) Nouns that end with -ch, -s, -sh, -x, or -z, add -es to the end of the word.
Ex: The volunteers picked up boxes filled with clothes to donate to different churches.
3) Nouns that end with consonant plus -y, drop the -y and add -ies.
Ex: The babies were crying all day because they missed their families.
4) Nouns that end with -f or -fe, change the -f or -fe to -ves.
Ex: The pack of wolves were hunting for their prey.
5) Some nouns have irregular forms in which the spelling of the singular form changes.
Ex: The women went to pick up their children from school.
